The saying goes ‘If you build it, they will come’ and there’s no better example than Behov. In 2016, they opened on an unassuming corner in Nordvest with the simple mission of bringing better pizza to Copenhagen, and they definitely delivered. In their first year, the likes of Politiken and the White Guide – ‘the alternative Michelin guide’ – paid them high praise, and soon they were topping the lists of Denmark’s best pizza places. Nearly eight years later and now with two locations, Behov is still busy fulfilling everyone’s most primal need for great handcrafted pizza.

WHAT YOU GET

Pick any two pizzas at Behov. Grab a seat inside or take your order to go. Choose between classic, whole-grain, or gluten-free crust for your base. Opt for the Obelix with tomato sauce, mozzarella, wild boar sausage, walnuts, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Go for something spicy, like the Storm with red sauce, goat cheese, Calabrian ‘nduja, and eggplant, finished with fresh tomato and rucola. Bite into the Blegfis with white sauce, mozzarella, homemade meatballs, and fresh sage. Feast on the Lunefuld with tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto cotto, black olives, and grilled artichokes. Or, taste their seasonal pizza, which rotates regularly.
